Hand-cut pieces of candied white watermelon come alive with a hint of mustard essence.
Casa Forcello makes her exceptional "mostardas" (a traditional condiment from Mantova, Italy that balances sweetness and heat) by sourcing locally harvested fruit, slicing and candying them in their juices, and then adding drops of a very concentrated, spicy mustard extract; it is a highly labor-intensive process.
Recommendations for use: often paired with Montegrappa, flavorful cheeses, charcuterie, boiled meats (bollito).
