About Acetaia San Giacomo
The Acetaia (Italian for 'vinegar cellar') San Giacomo is a place strongly rooted in the territory. The casks and our daily work are housed in the Corte Faragosa, a farmhouse in the Emilia countryside that dates back to the mid-1500s.
Why San Giacomo?
Via San Giacomo Maggiore in Cognento di Campagnola Emilia was the address where, thanks to the care of our parents, a small farm was born which, out of sheer passion, produced lambrusco and other products of the countryside.
In the barn of that house there were already the batteries of casks started by those who had come first in the family, since it was a common custom in these parts to make a little Balsamic vinegar in one's attic, for future generations.
