About Tenuta Foggiali
The trees have grown for centuries on the famous Argilla-soil, in Ostuni, in the heart of the Apulia region, at an altitude of 150 meters above sea level, yet close to the Adriatic coast.
The estate was bought by the actual owner's grandfather and it's recently converted to organic agriculture, in accordance to his founder biodynamic approach. These EVOOs are the result of an intense love story between Rosati family and the land where their ancestors grew.
The olives are harvested traditionally, only at the optimal maturity from early November through mid-January latest. The harvest is still conducted largely by hand with only limited technical support.
